About White Cloud

__________

We are a small business and enjoy the challenge of coming up with fresh ideas. We are inspired by the arrival of each new season and the different flowers each one brings. Full of enthusiasm, we love working together and love what we do. We always allow plenty of time for each design in order to achieve the high standards that we set ourselves.

Please take a look through our gallery of work and keep us in mind should you ever have a need for flowers … whatever the occasion.

I’ve always had a love of nature, inspired as I was growing up, by my dad. Despite this passion and a love of art and design, I found myself working in the banking industry (of all places!) until I had my family. Second time around I decided to follow my love of the creative industries, first at the University for Creative Arts and later at Hadlow College where I studied Floristry in order to pursue a career doing something I love.

I adore flowers and foliage and the way that they enhance any space or occasion with their wonderful colours and textures. Combining materials and creating designs for other people’s enjoyment, or as a symbol of sympathy, is an incredible feeling and nothing is more important to me than customers being happy with the flowers we provide.

Despite wanting to be a hairdresser, I ended up being a secretary in London until my late twenties, where I met my husband with whom I have two children.

I returned to work locally, part time, for the NHS and spent twelve years there. My mother unfortunately became poorly and I decided to give up work enabling me to spend more time with her.

Whilst having this time, I decided to attend a Christmas flower course at Hadlow College and I became hooked! I continued to study floristry at Hadlow and still love working with flowers today.

My daughter Stephanie ended up being the hairdresser in the family!
